This series (Grass is Greener), of watercolours is very heavily influenced by the German Renaissance painter Albrecht Dürer. In particular, Large Piece of Turf (1503). Daniel seeks to create a harmonious accord between a highly stylised form and the flowing lines of nature, creating decorative designs that lift the spirit and warm the heart.
